It is a small village of around 150 people.
The mode of travel was a Cessna 208B Caravan
This would be looking S-SE toward Golovin.Next is looking West (ish).
This would be North toward Council. Last weekend we would have been in those hills looking at White Mountain.
That is the Fish River.
Looking into White Mountain from near the clinic.
There is a post office in White Mountain.
Interesting homes.
The local parking lot.
More boats than cars.
Notice, no propeller. This is a jet boat. Up river the water is too shallow for props.
They do a little waterfowl hunting.
The do some moose hunting as well. I wonder if the dog is trying to figure out how to get to the antlers, or just guarding the antlers.
The White Mountain school.
Teacher housing, in case anyone is interested in applying.
The white rocks that give White Mountain its color, and name.
I am told it used to be a lot whiter.
Out in the distance looks like a white mountain, but it is not the White Mountain.
This is the clinic, where I spent 2 days.
If you are interested in visiting, there is a Bed & Breakfast.
Clouds getting in they way of a sunset.
It is amazing how clear a flowing river can be.
The river is so clear and calm. Look at this next picture.
