There are sled dogs in Nome! I stand corrected.

A couple of posts ago, I mentioned the lack of huskies, and the abundance of ankle biter dogs.  First, I have nothing against small dogs, I just was not expecting to see so many small dogs, and not many larger dogs.  As the weather has gotten better, and sightseeing, has increased the sightings of sled dogs has increased.  I decided I better set the record straight.

The huskies are out of town a short distance.  That is probably better for the huskies as well as the neighbors.  It was awesome to hear them howling as I was running by one morning.  I am sure if they were right next to where I was living it would get annoying rather quickly.
